CHRISTMAS came early for Citywide’s Cardinia Shire open space team, which has re-secured the integrated services contract for up to 12 years.
The contract – which includes the provision of Parks, Gardens, Tree, Sports Field Maintenance and Fire Season Mowing – was endorsed by Council on Monday night.
“This result not only provides job security and peace of mind for our teammates but moreover is an endorsement of the great work our ‘Cardy Crew’ have delivered and will continue to deliver to our customer and the Cardinia Shire community,” CEO Chris Campbell said.
“While very much a team effort, I want to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of the Cardinia and Southeast Municipal leaders along with the Tenders team, who clearly worked well together to submit a high quality tender bid.
“This is great news as we near the end of another busy year of operations.”
Cardinia Shire is one of the largest geographical contract areas Citywide manages for its customer, covering an area of some 1,300 square kilometres and including 1,600 linear kms of roads managed by our crews.
