The rapid development of Melbourne’s west presents a good opportunity for local communities to be directly involved in determining the prosperity and liveability of their region, with today’s launch of the Metropolitan Partnerships supporting this.

Citywide Chief Executive Officer Chris Campbell has been appointed to the Board of the Western Metropolitan Partnership, which covers the Wyndham, Melton, Brimbank, Moonee Valley, Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay local government areas.

“At Citywide, our purpose is shaping liveable cities for the host communities whom we serve. The ultimate success measure in this endeavour is the extent to which each community actively collaborates to achieve their aims,” Chris said.

“Our municipal customers in the western region are already working hard to successfully deliver for their community constituents across many aspects of civic amenity and infrastructure management.

“Equally, local communities are best placed to understand and advise on the key issues and priorities for their region, and to collaborate with government and business to make a real difference to the liveability of their area.

“We look forward to the opportunity to continue working with our customers and key stakeholders on the Western Metropolitan Partnership and engaging more extensively with those who ultimately stand to benefit from this unique collaboration.”
