Citywide has been re-appointed to manage the National Capital Authority’s (NCA) iconic open space contract for a further five years, following a highly competitive tender process.
An Australian Government authority, the NCA is the trustee of the National Capital, charged with planning, designing and managing National Land, memorials and attractions.
Citywide has been working exclusively with the NCA since 2010 to deliver its open space management services.
To deliver maximum value for our long-term customer, Citywide and our dedicated open space team supports the NCA’s Corporate Plan that works to shape Canberra as a capital that all Australians can be proud of.
This includes maintaining the National Estate’s spectacular parks and gardens and significant sites such as the historic monuments that line Anzac Parade, and the leafy grounds of Commonwealth Park.
“The team is really excited and proud to be able to continue to manage, maintain and enhance this nationally significant area on behalf of the National Capital Authority,” said Brad Foley, ACT Manager.
“We look forward to working with the National Capital Authority to meet their mission to shape Canberra as a capital that all Australians can be proud of by ensuring it is well planned, managed and promoted, consistent with its enduring national significance.”
Working alongside the NCA team and on the estate for over a decade drives Citywide to deliver an increasingly strong, experienced and efficient service model to support a thriving National Estate, backed by real-time technology and digital capabilities that will realise an even greater service efficiency and transparency.
“The National Capital Authority is an incredibly important long-term Citywide customer and their success in realising their mission is something we are very committed to supporting,” Duncan Reid, Citywide’s Executive of Operations, said.
“This includes investing in a team of some of the best open space specialists who take great care and skill to maintain high quality areas that many thousands of locals and tourists visit and admire all year round, such as the historic Rose Gardens at Old Parliament House and other significant and treasured areas in The National Triangle.”
