Citywide is proud to partner with health and wellness social enterprise Puka Up, which is on a mission to end suicide and encourage conversations around mental health.
Alarming figures show there were 3,128 suicides in 2017 - the equal highest recorded rate in the past decade - and a nine per cent increase on 2016, with 2,866.
Puka Up's vision is to make genuine conversations around mental health a part of everyday life, with the aim of eliminating suicide.
To raise awareness of the issue, 32 cyclists will embark on an epic 10-day, 1,818-kilometre bike ride across Victoria, starting out from Melbourne's Marvel Stadium early on March 6th.
Citywide teammates Matthew Whelan and Jarrod Crosby will join the Grand Tour, which will stop in several towns along the route and host a number of local community forums to encourage conversations about mental health.
As a community-facing business, we recognise that almost everyone is touched at some point by statistics such as the one-in-four people who experience mental health issues.
